A lot of first impressions!

Hi. I decided to give you some first impressions of the products I hauled earlier today! I am just going to IKEA with my boyfriend, but I wanted to do a full face anyways!

I am using the Catrice color correcting primer. This is GREEN. I was scared when I squeezed it out the first time.

Before and after the primer. It covered a bit of my redness, and I am actually happy about how my skin felt. It was smooth and tacky. No silicone feeling at all! A good first impression, I like this product!

My foundation application on top was smooth. This is not first impression, I am just using a CC cream from Bourjois.

I used this Maybelline concealer. I wanted to check this out because of all the hype online about it. I could not find it in any drugstore in Norway. FINALLY I have found it and I really like it. So smooth to work with. I picked up the colour light, which seems to fit me perfectly. Really like it! I always set my undereyes with the e.l.f HD undereye powder.

So I set my face with the NYX stay matte but not flat powder foundation. I don’t know how I feel about this. As a powder it works, but if I wanted to use this as a powder foundation I would did it give little coverage. Anyways, as a setting powder, good so far!

I did my brows with the Anastasia brow wiz & brow pomade as always. But on the eyes I used the a new makeup geek shadow in my collection. In the crease I have Moondust which I have had for a while. And on the lid is the foiled eyeshadow Grandstand. I have heard SO MUCH about this and I finally bought it. OH MY GOD! It is amazing. The pigmentation, the color, the sparkle, I LOVE IT! If you have blue eyes and don’t have this shadow, buy it! AMAZING!

My final look! I also used the Makeup Geek Rendezvous blush! So pigmented and beautiful! I love all the stuff I have bought from Makeup Geek. I also have the Laura Geller liquid lipstick in Chilli Spice. This is officially my new favourite liquid lipstick. It does not dry matte but it is kind of a satin finish. I loved it so much that I went to http://www.beautybay.com and ordered two more colours.

Martins answer: sour cream Truth: Hell yes, the only one I like.

Martins answer: onion stew Truth: Sure, even though I have not tried this I am sure I don’t like it. I am so picky with food.

Martins answer: Cola Zero Truth: Yaaas! I drink it every day!

Martins answer: 41 (US 9.5) Truth: 38 (US 7.5) haha, obviously my feet look huge to him!

Martins answer: MAKEUP!! Truth: Yes, I collect makeup! Especially lipsticks.

Martins answer: club sandwich. Truth: I don’t eat sandwiches, haha!

Martins answer: tacos! Truth: yes, I eat this all the time!

Martins answer: Chocolate. Truth: Actually, I don’t eat cereal either. Too much hidden sugar in these.

Martins answer: Rock/Alternative. Truth: Yes! Marilyn Manson is my true love 🙂

Martins answer: Vålerenga. Truth: Nooo. Fredrikstad is my team.

Martins answer: Blue! Truth: Yes!

Martins answer: Charlotte! Truth: YES!

What is something you do that she wishes you would not do?

Martins answer: Make own comments when she watches makeup videos. Truth: This is so annoying. He will sit next to me when I watch a haul on youtube and say: OH MY GOD, THIS CREAM IS SO CREAMY. lol, he is cute though.

Where is she from? 

Martins answer: Saltnes. Truth: I have lived in Saltnes a long period of my life. But actually I was born and raised in Oslo.

What kind of cake would you make her for her birthday? 

Martins answer: Brownies! Truth: I love my moms brownies. This is the only cake I have learned to bake after moving out.

What could she spend hours doing?

Martins answer: Watch makeup videos on youtube! Truth: I do that a lot, haha!

What is one unique talent she has?

Review: YSL Couture Palette!

If you have followed my blog you know I hauled this when I got home from Greece. I decided to do a little review of this in case you want to buy it.

Price:

• As everyone knows YSL is a really expensive brand. I paid 50$ for this at the airport, but you can get it at Sephora for 60$.

Packaging:

• YSL has the most beautiful gold packaging. I love it, even if it looks very dirty after using it. You will get finger prints on it.

Shades:

Sephora sells 11 different shade selections of this palette. The one I got is in 03 Afrique. It contains 5 beautiful colors.

The only matte shade is the dark brown in the middle. The rest of them are glitter/shimmers. But I wanted to buy a shimmer palette, cause I felt like I had to many mattes. They have beautiful pigmentation and blends very easily. I also feel that the colors go great together. If I bring this palette I don’t need another one to complete an eye look and I love that.

Wear time:

I have used this out in 8-9 hours and when I got home the eyeshadows were the only thing that looked freshly applied on me. Seriously, these stay beautiful put through the day. Of course I expected that because it is YSL, but still… I did not get a weird line in the crease, which is a problem I get with some shadows.

Will I recommend this: YES! I loved this palette and the only sad thing about this is that it is 60$ for 5 eyeshadows.

How my sister wants me to do my makeup!

Hi guys.
I am at my parents house and my sister decided to do my makeup! She wants me to do my makeup very “natural” and even though I think it works on her face, I am not used to that on my face. I lpve my full face of makeup! this is how I look:

Of course she used all my products. If you are interested we have very different skintone and type. I have dry skin og yellow undertones, she has oily combo skin and pink undertones. She thinks it is so weird to get my very liqiud foundation perfect, cause she uses very thick and mattifying ones. By the way, here is a comparison on how we do it different:

The biggest differences is that I am all about contrasts and shadows in my face. All about them brows and contour.

Makeup Revolution Palette Swatches!

Hi guys. As I wrote yesterday I wanted to do swatches of the amazing and cheap palettes I got from Makeup Revolution. There is a three for one deal on their online site right now! So I got these three for 12 £ (+ shipping)

Here they are:

Ultimate Colour Chaos Palette

This palette has 12 shimmer shadows and 6 matte ones. I must say that the quality differ from shadow to shadow. I will tell you my favourites under the swatch pictures.

My favourites from the top row are: Gleam and Wkd. So creamy and pigmented. The swatches was so easy.

My favourites from the middle row are: Do it now.. and Ammuniton!

The mattes are the worst shadows in this palette. But the best ones were My demons and TipX.

This is the Eat Sleep Makeup Repeat Palette.

It is separated into quads, which I think is nice. It is a mix of mattes and shimmers.

My favourite shadow here are Say it now.. oh my god, the pigmentation. It stained my arm! Amazing orange red!

My favourites here are Needle on and Re-Mix. They are beautiful! Hot track was really hard to swatch. Same with Rave Off.

I actually liked all of these shadows! Sleep all day, Repeat again and Rave all night are absolute favourites.

This is the what you waiting for? palette.

It has the same amount of shimmers and mattes as The Ultimate Colour Chaos Palette. 12 shimmers and 6 mattes.

I loved all of these. Can’t pick favourites from these beautiful shades.

The only one I did not like was Life is short. It was not as pigmented as the others.

I tried REALLY hard to make super hot female show up on my skin. These are also very creamy and beautiful. Can’t pick faves.

Sorry for bad swatches, I really tried my best! My tan made it really hard to make beautiful swatches.

To sum this up, Makeup Revolution has really good palettes for the price you pay! I love their color selection and they make good mattes and shimmers! These palettes do have a bit of fall-out, but for the prize, I really don’t care.

Im BACK – from Greece!

Hi guys! I am back from a amazing holiday in Greece! Actually, I got home on thursday evening, but my boyfriend said I could not blog until he left, haha! I had a great time in Greece and actually I start school tomorrow, so I need to post this before the school gets crazy!

If you want to know what makeup I brought to Greece I will post a seperate post on that. Comment if you want to know! I brought a lot of makeup actually. I did not wear makeup on the beach, so the people on the beach got the “no eyebrow look”. hahah, I look crazy without eyebrows. As you know my hair is VERY light, and eyebrows are the same. They got bleached in the sun right away. Thank god that Anastasia’s brow products don’t run down your face in the heat. Just saying.

Anyways, after two weeks in the sun I actually got a nice tan going. You also know that I am PALE. But my face was like “I don’t want to match your body honey”, so instead it decided to give me freckles.

Me after 3 days in the sun. Not kidding. I don’t think the tan will last long either. When we left Heraklion airport on Crete it was 30 ºC outside and when we landed in Oslo it was 16 ºC. Of course I got a cold on the plane home also! Oh the loveliness!

But my holiday was amazing, and I am just gonna post some random pictures at the end for you. My mom and dad do NOT want to appear on my blog, so please excuse the weird cropping in some of them. I will also upload a haul later. These are the products I got in the mail when I was gone. My lovely neighbour gave me a LOT of boxes when I got home. I did not think it would be that much, haha!
