Makeup Collection pt. 4: Lipsticks!

Hi guys. Decided to do the part 4 of my makeup collection, lipsticks. YES, I have too many lipsticks. YES, I have bought every single one with my own money. Lipstick makes me feel so happy! I decided to skip liquid lipstick and lipgloss, but I did include my chubby sticks and stuff. You will see, haha!

Products I regret buying! :(

Hi. I just looked through my makeup collection and thought I would blog about some products I regret buying. In Norway we have a totally different return policy than in the USA. We CAN NOT returned any makeup we have tried. This is the policy in every makeup store – high end or drugstore. So I usually give the products I don’t like away to friends and family. But the products below collects dust in my collection…

Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit

anastasia

I fell into the hype about this like a year ago. At first I really liked it, I used the lightest cool shade to contour and the yellow shade to highlight. But it did not look as good as it did on youtube.. WHEN I BOUGHT THE KAT VON D SHADE & LIGHT – NO MORE ANASTASIA. They do not even compare.. The Kat Von D  palette is SO MUCH BETTER.

Chanel Ombre Essentielle in 69 Black Star

So glad I bought this on sale.. never used it. It is HORRIBLE. E.l.f. makes better eyeshadows than this..

Maybelline Color Tattoo 24HR

colourtattoo

The Maybelline Color Tattoos.. The swatches look alright, but these crease like CRAZY on my eyes and I don’t have this problem with any other cream shadow.. These will dry out before I will be able to use them..

Jordana Complete Cover 2-1 Foundation & Concealerjordana

This was not that expensive.. But I never buy foundation with the intent to let it stay in my drawer.. this is YELLOW. Okay, I have a yellow undertone Jordana, but this is crazy.. Never used this and never will..

Lorac Amethyst Smokey Plum Shades

lorac

I don’t exactly remember when I bought this or how expensive it was. We don’t have Lorac in Norway so I though I would try this insted of using a lot on the Lorac Pro Palette. Well, this did not impress me.. These are so dry and powdery.. It does not even swatch OKAY.

Mac Mineralize Moisture

mac

I have actually used a lot of this.. but the color is really weird. The formula is amazing, but NC20 should not be radiant yellow I think.. I will probably mix this in with another foundation which is pinker.. So I will use it up, but I want a foundation to work on its own..

Urban Decay Naked Basics 1ud

If you follow ANY beauty youtuber you have seen how EVERYONE loves the UD Naked Palettes. I thought I would try this before ordering a big palette. And I never ordered the big one.. These are so powdery. The only shade I think is great is FAINT, but these are patchy and do not blend.. I really dont’ like these, but will continue to use them, because they were expensive..

One last thing, I do not have anything against these brands, these products just did not work for me.. Do you have any experience with these products? Tell me in the comments..

Love, Kristine

Skincare – how I got normal skin!

Hi guys. I know I have been gone for like… forever! This school thing takes all my time.. but I want to blog again.. so I thought I would tell you about my skincare routine lately..

My skins history is SO complicated.. I used to have really bad skin when I was younger (like 15,16) and when I started on the pill it got a bit better. Then it got a lot worse with acne when I had my final year at high school (examns, teenage drama and bad eating habits)

The last three years I my skin has been SO DRY. I don’t know what happend, but dryness was the big problem. My skin basically cracked on my nose and on my forehead. I thought it was because of my HORRIBLE foundation (L’oreal True Match, still don’t like it)

But then I checked out skincare online.. I did not have a lot of money, so I bought cheap skincare like Garnier and Nivea. My sensitive and dry skin did not like that at all.

Now, I think I have found what works best for me and my weird skin!

Makeup Removers:

I saw that my skin changed when I changed from makeup wipes to a oil based makeup remover. I love both of these, at the moment I use the Lancome one. My face feel really clean after I use these two, they are amazing.

Cleansing:

After the makeup remover I will use a little bit of the Clinique liquid facial soap, to get some of the oiliness of my face. And when my face is dry I will tone with this Lumene toner (which I just run out of, sad) This makes my skin feel CLEAN and refresh without making my skin feel dry.

Moisture:

I use both of these, it depends which is in the top of my drawer. Both of these are pretty light moisturizers. The Clinique one is gel and the Lumene one is a regular cream. What I love about these is that they absorb really fast and give a lot of hydration.

Intensive Treatment:

I love the Glamglow thirstymud! I know it is really expensive (I got mine for free, bonus points) but I think it is worth it. This is amazing if you got some dry patches. I just put a bit on my dry patches when I sleep and the skin looks so much better when I wake up. When I don’t have dry patches I sleep with the Dermalogica intensive moisture balance on my whole face. This smells like CRAP, but is a seriously amazing cream!

Eye cream:

1287086018-08098_full

This is the only eye cream I use. I love it, absorbs fast and makes my dry undereyes feel great. I think eye cream is very individual, I have tried many. This is my favourite and I use it before concealer too.

Mask:

I am not oily, but as every other human on the planet – I have pores. I use these masks once a week, just to refresh the skin. The JorgObé is a peel of mask, it works great on the nose and forhead. Do not use it on the cheeks, it pulls the hairs of your face. The Garnier one I use before I shower because when you rinse off it will become a scrub. It just makes my face feel nice and smooth.

I hope this was useful to you if you have the same kind of skin as me. If you want me do to makeup for dry skin, please comment, I would love to share the products that works for  me.

Love, Kristine
